ZeroWork comes with a lightweight desktop agent that you need to install after signing up. We do not currently offer a Chrome extension. The desktop agent is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
The desktop agent runs in the background and is only required to run the TaskBots. The TaskBot building process itself takes place in your browser at https://creator.zerowork.io.
You can create TaskBots by using the ZeroWork creator dashboard, accessible via your browser. The dashboard allows you to build, test, and run TaskBots. You can take a look at what it looks like by checking out a few of our video tutorials: Video Crash Course.
TaskBots can automate a wide range of tasks, from simple data entry to complex workflows involving multiple applications and websites. Check some of the featured use cases here.
Not at all, ZeroWork is entirely no-code!
ZeroWork is designed to be user-friendly, allowing you to create TaskBots through a visual interface. You only need to be willing to learn the basics of how to build TaskBots. For example, check our video crash course.
ZeroWork is GDPR-compliant and employs industry-standard security measures to protect your data.
The desktop agent processes data on your computer. The only data we store in our system are your account details, TaskBot set-up, and data used in native tables (using native tables is optional). We also store your logs and error reports for a period of 14 days.
You can send them a copy of your TaskBot or create a sharing link. See how to share TaskBots here.

ZeroWork provides two flexible options for running your TaskBots.
1. Isolated Browser Environment: TaskBots can run in a cookie- and cache-free environment, ideal for automating multiple accounts. In this mode, you simply add your login cookies to the TaskBot run settings. It’s quick and easy—just two clicks! See how here.
2. Regular Browser Mode: TaskBots can also run directly in your regular Chrome browser. Specify which Chrome profile to use (or leave it set to default), and the TaskBot will connect to your browser to automate tasks. You can continue browsing as usual—TaskBots run in separate tabs, ensuring they don’t interfere with your manual work.
Simply generate a webhook link in your TaskBot run settings. See how here.
TaskBots run locally on your computer. Therefore, typically no VPN or proxy is needed.
That said, if necessary, you can add your proxy to the TaskBot run settings, as described here.
